I’ve always been a numbers guy, a stats guy, whether it was baseball or business. Anecdotal evidence is fine, but analyzing real data tells the most accurate story possible. So, it was with great interest that I pored over the results of our second “Outlook” survey of 50+ vendor executives to get a sense of what the next year will look like in the IT distribution industry.
The good news? Vendors expect to grow their business through distribution in 2018, at an even healthier clip than 2017. Second, it’s clear that vendors are counting on distributors to recruit new partners—and new types of partners—for their technologies and solutions. We also heard a lot about “platforms” and how multiple solutions work together to meet business challenges.
